Terms

The CromArt cultural Association announces the CromArt Awards, whose objective is the discovery of new international talents, the diffusion of their work and rewarding the creative talent of the works presented.

Therefore, is has been decided to make this call public in accordance with the following terms and conditions:

1.- This contest is open to all graphic artists, regardless their country of origin, nationality, over 20 (twenty) years of age. Each artist may register up to five works. Members of the organization and members of the jury are excluded from the call.

2.- Works must be submitted to the following categories:

  • Corporate Graphic Design
  • Engraving
  • Editorial Illustration
  • Advertising Illustration
  • Video game Illustration
  • Photography
  • Typography /Art with typography
  • Categoría especial “Jóvenes”

3.- An artist may enter and win in one or more categories and their works do not need to be available for sale, nor be available for live exhibition, to compete and win. They must be original, conceived and created by the participant in the last 3 years.

4.- Proposals must indicate the title (if any) and dimensions of the work, and may be signed, but must not include in the image: watermarks, title, symbols or texts, unless these are part of it. The works may correspond to previous unpublished professional works, personal creations or have been prepared ad hoc for this contest.

In the case of illustrations, up to three different images that are part of the same project can be submitted and are considered as a single proposal.

5.- The works presented must be free of reproduction rights, leaving the property and authorship rights in the possession of the author of the work. By submitting a work, the participant declares that it is an original work of his or her authorship, whose contents cannot infringe the rights of third parties. If the work incorporates elements from third parties or other images (such as artistic works, photographs, images or fragments of any other work protected by intellectual ownership), the participant declares that he or she has the corresponding authorizations and licenses to be able to incorporate said creations to his work, directly from its legitimate owners. In any case, authors remain exclusively responsible for any of these situations.

6.- By submitting a work, the participant authorizes CromArt Awards International, free of charge, the right of reproduction, dissemination, exhibition and public diffusion of the awarded works through the channels it considers, exclusively for promotional purposes of the contest at an international level, with the author of the work assuming full responsibility for any claim that CromArt Awards International may receive for the exhibition of the work.

7.- All works must be submitted before the date indicated in the calls published on the official CromArt Awards website (www.cromawards.art) at 11:59 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time GMT+2) and will be submitted using the web form at the link provided, indicating your details and those of the work presented, as well as the category to which it is submitted. In the case of participating as a team, the name of all its members must be indicated.

8.- A list of the artists and works selected and finalists for each edition of the CromAwards competition will be published on the official page of the competition. One month later the Jury’s decision will be notified and the list of winners will be published.

9.- Members of the Jury are those published on the official website. They will be specialists in Illustration, Design, Graphic Art and professionals from other areas of culture and artistic creation. The jury’s decision will be final and unappealable. The award may be declared void if the quality of the works presented do not reach the required standards. The Jury may also establish Ex aequo prizes.

10.- A single CromArt Award is awarded per category (medal and certified diploma) and up to 5 CromArt Finalist Awards per category (certified diploma). The winners receive their awards at the address referred to in the registration.

In addition, the winning proposals will achieve:

  • The publication of your work on the CromArt Awards websites and on its social networks, with a link to your contact.
  • Sending press releases to the media and people indicated by the author. (max. 25)
  • Inclusion of the CromArt Awards works in the organization’s press releases.
  • Transfer of the right to use the CromArt Awards logo, indicating the year and recognition obtained.
  • And any other specific prize or material
  • And any other prize or material specific to each edition and that will be published for each call.

    11.- In compliance with the provisions of Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, and other applicable regulations, participants in any of the editions of the International CromArt Awards Contest authorize the organizers to process their data. of a personal nature in order to be able to manage your participation in the contest. They may exercise the rights recognized in the applicable data protection legislation by means of reliable notification by email to the address: LOPD@cromAwards.art

    12.- The organization of the contest will not be responsible for plagiarism or any offence or transgression of current intellectual ownership regulations worldwide in which authors may incur. The organization will not be responsible for any lost or damaged material when posted.

    13.- Participating in this Competition implies the incondicional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, being the Jury’s decisions final. Interpretation of these Terms and Conditions remains exclusively within the powers of the Jury.

    Category Typographic Design

    It is mandatory to show all the basic characters contained in the font (upper case, lower case, numerals and basic signs). They must be originals, although they may be typographical interpretations, in which case said references must be notified and explained. Digitizations or works derived from existing fonts will not be accepted.

    It is also mandatory to present a brief description of the potential application of the source, the concept, the intent, and how the family will be able to expand.

    The alphabets must exist as digital sources, even if they are not complete.

     

    Special Category “Juniors”

    • Although all other competition categories are intended for adults, this category is dedicated to young aspiring artists between the ages of 12 and 20. Works created during this age range are also acceptable, as long as the artist is no older than 20. years at the time of registration.
    • This category is intended as a separate contest for students in this age range. The works submitted in this category do not compete in the other categories, nor for the other prizes associated with the rest of the competition. However, we invite the winners of this Category to participate in the CromArt Show Exhibition.
    • Parental consent is required for any participant under the age of 18 at the time of registration.
    • In this category, we also publish the name of the participant’s art school and the name of their main art teacher.

     

    Requirements

    • Files must be uploaded directly through the CromArt website. Image files must be between 1 MB up to 15 MB and in JPG, PNG or TIFF format.
    • Make sure they are good quality images, not blurry, small or low resolution. Jurors must be able to see the details of the work. If you feel you do not have a good enough high resolution image of the work as a whole where details can be seen when enlarged, please provide a detail image in addition to the full image.
    • If jurors have difficulty viewing the images correctly, additional images or details may be requested. Crop anything that is not part of the artwork from the main image submitted.
